The White Bench

My dad made me a bench a few years ago for my birthday. It was a surprise and I just love it. Currently it needs painting and is on my list for this week. I keep in our front courtyard area, and once it's painted, I'll post pictures with the side planter boxes loaded up with colorful flowers. The bench below is a twin of mine and is for sale at "The Barn" here in town. It's super heavy and built to last.
It's constructed of old barn and fence wood.

The model is Nute my dad's dog. Dad rescued Nute from the local shelter in Turlock three years ago, just after mom went into the nursing home.
He has been a great companion for my dad...it was a blessing.

Me with Nute & Buddy.
Conner didn't make this visit to dad's, but he loves dad and Nute too.

Hope you have a great day!

How wonderful to have a bench that your dad made for you, that's a very special and precious treasure. I have a copy of an antique bonnet bench that my dad made for me and it is one of my most prized possessions. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Marty

I love your bench and can't wait to see it all painted up and planted. Great picture of you, by the way!

I too have a bench and lawn chair that my dear father made and I so treasure them. You puppies are precious. What would we do without our pets?
