It's Almost Pumpkin Season

I started decorating pumpkins for my mom who loved them.
Last year was the first fall without her,
and I had a hard time decorating any pumpkins and only did a few upon request.
I'm trying to decide if I will or not this year.

I'll have to go see my friends at the stawberry fields and Van Groningen & Son's, and see what they have grown this year.
Oh, my friends grow stawberries and Vietnamese veggies; but they also grow these awesome pumpkins from seeds they save every year.
They always save me the best pumpkins with the longest stems, such sweet people.

Perhaps I'll get my inspiration back soon.

Oh Mumzie please do decorate some more pumpkins! You create the most wonderful pumpkins I have ever seen. Perhaps you might like to do a tutorial some time, I would be very interested in learning how you make them look so beautiful. I would love to make one for my kitchen table...it's quite large and looks very empty without something in the middle.
Warmest hugs,
Sandi

Your pumpkins are absolutely lovely and it would be a shame if you stopped making them.....especially if your Mom loved them. I think her absence would be inspiration enough to keep making these lovely creations in her honor....I bet she'd love that!

Blessings,
Robin

Yvonne, I think you should continue to create your pumpkin beauties- someone will be looking down upon you and possibly even sending down some inspirations...
These are gorgeous and so creative! How do you get the pumpkin skin to shine like that?
Take care, my friend. hugs, Sue

Oh dear, how hard it is for the first few holidays without your Mom!
My Mom and sis, who I was so close to have been gone almost nine years and I still feel like it is yesterday..... I can't say that it gets better, it is just different and we learn to handle it differently.
If I could I would send you a big hug? I know it's not the same but if it helps, doing your pumpkins would be something that your Mom would want you to do and she must have been so proud of you, they are fabulous!!!!
Please do what your heart tells you, looks like you have a very supportive group of friends!!!!
You have a fantastic eye for color and they are really stunning!!!!
Have fun doing them, I'll be back to visit you!!!!
Big Hugs!!!!
