This is the first poka dot chicken I've ever seen....
She gorgeous!
I think she's my favorite.
Kelly loves her horses at Phenom Farms,
but her chickens are pretty special
to her too.
Where's her head?
Checking out the apple core I through down for them.
Chickens have two important jobs on a horse ranch.
First and foremost they are on the clean up crew
for all horse stalls and pastures,
and of course
eggs!
I took these pictures this past weekend during our visit with Kelly in Buelton.
Beauty is all around....you just have to look for it!

only the polish has a name - Ms. Puffy Head! The others never got named. The black older hen (missing from the pics) is Samba. Found 5 eggs today!
I envy you your chickens. Entertainment and eggs all in one!
What a fun post...I've never seen a polka dot chicken...it is pretty cool looking.
What a fun FUN post!
You have found the beauty and these poultry are just a great example.
LOL "where is her head?" was great. Made me smile for sure.
Thanks so much for this beautiful example.

That is the neatest looking chicken I've ever seen. And I like the one who seems to be having a bad hair day too - very unusual! What a fun post! Kathy

Saludos.
Nice to meet you Mumzie. I enjoyed reading several of your posts. Connor is adorable and so is little McTee. I will check out the other blog you mentioned.

Hi Mumzie,

That polka dot chicken is so cute. Love Buellton, I grew up in San Luis Obispo, met my husband when we lived in Santa Barbara and lived in Santa Maria for 25 years. I do miss California. Mimi
