Finding Beauty Friday - February 5th, 2010

A Summer Rose

I thought I would share this picture of a rose from last summer 's garden.
I took the picture just after a mid summer rain shower
here in California and just before it fell apart.
If you click on the photo you can see the water damage,
it was still gorgeous until the very end.

A special thanks to Claudia for hosting

Have a great Friday!

gorgeous bloom. You should have seen me in my yard at 7:30 am yesterday. I saw we lost a huge limb in the backyard because of wind storms here and I went ahead with the shovel while the ground was wet and planted some gallon pots I had gotten. I'm sure the neighbors thought I'd lost it. lol

Beautiful...I am always astounded at the strength of such delicate looking flowers when a bad storm comes through...the secret...they go with the flow and bend with the winds....hmmmm

I'm ready for more roses and all the rain we're getting will help that. Yours is a beautiful one. :) Nancy

Very beautiful - I can almost smell it!

You've reminded me that I have some seeds to plant from my 'Beautiful James' rose! :)

Oh Mumzie sweetie...
What a beautiful bloom. It is so gorgeous. I love the way the colors blend into one, and the size is something else. I can smell the fragrance, it is so sweet smelling. Thank you so much for sharing with me today.

Have a beautiful evening, and a great weekend. Aren't Fridays the BEST?
Country hugs...Sherry
