As you would a friend;

One who brings twelve shining gifts

To last until year's end.

Harmony with others,

Faith in each new day;

All the kindness you can spare,

Goodwill in words you say.

Compassion for earth's creatures,

And hope for those in need;

Make peace with all of nature,

Make tolerance your creed.

Thoughtfulness and sharing,

Love spread far and near;

A thankfulness for living

To end a perfect year.
