Halloween 2009

Happy Birthday Jenni - Colin's first Halloween

I'm not sure what happened, because our exterminator company was just here on Tuesday.....

We had a great Halloween. Jenni, Curtis and Colin came over for pumpkin carving and Halloween fun! Little Colin was dressed in his special Halloween outfit for the occasion. We ate Pasta Carbonara, salad, french bread, and wine.
Oh, the Hubs went crazy with the spider webs...but everyone loved them!

I made a two layer cupcake "Happy Birthday" cake for Jenni's 28th birthday. Yes,  28 years ago I delivered a baby on Halloween night.  What can I say....I tried my best to postpone it to the next morning, but it just didn't happen that way.  Anyway, we celebrated all evening long. Curtis handed out candy to almost 200 plus trick-or-treaters. He did a great job dressed up as a very scary scarecrow, even the adults had a hard time determining if he was real or fake. It was fun for all.

The Pasta Carbonara is a recipe from one of my favorite blogs....ThePioneerWoman.com...
Ree Drummond has plenty of great recipes on her blog. She just released her new cookbook called, "The Pionneer Woman Cooks"last week. I've been following her blog for over a year and love following her adventures and confessions of rural life: cows, horses, country kids, and plenty of chaps-wearing cowboys. You gotta love it!

It definitley sounds like you have a fabulous time! Wow, 200 ToT's, that is a lot! Before I left for the evening, I had one large group but saw a few more on their way as I drove down the street. I seriously doubt it would have come any where close to 50, let alone 200 I love the decorations! Great job!
